Mr. Oscar Ankunda


Mr. Ankunda is the Energy Specialist at the United States Agency for International Development in Uganda where he is the lead for the Power Africa Initiative, a U.S. led initiative that aims to add more than 30,000 megawatts of cleaner, more efficient electricity generation capacity and 60 million new home and business connections. He has previously served as Projects Manager at Industrial Promotion Services of the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development from 2010 to 2015, overseeing their industrial and infrastructure portfolio. Mr. Ankunda has also previously worked with the World Bank-funded Energy for Rural Transformation Project that kick-started rural electrification planning and execution in Uganda and the Uganda Investment Authority.
